Impartation for Revival

The grand finale opened with a simple promise from Romans 1:11, that Paul longed to come and impart a spiritual gift so the believers would be established. Impartation, the National Pastor explained, is the transference of a spiritual gift from one vessel to another, and there is no self-made man or woman in the kingdom. He told his own story: flying from Toronto to London for Bible school, going straight from the airport to the classroom and back, then kneeling in Pastor David Oyedepo's office to say he loved what the man carried and wanted it. Pride is why most people never receive, because they will not humble themselves before someone who carries what they need, even someone younger. From Leviticus 6 he turned to the fire on the altar that must never go out. Every believer is a priest, and the fire is ordained to burn daily, but where no wood is, the fire goes out. The wood is the word, gathered fresh every morning like manna, because yesterday's manna is poisonous. He gave the practical fuel: pray without ceasing, stay on the word extensively, meditate, listen to the word, and pray much in the Spirit. He closed with the three channels of impartation, God Himself, the spoken word, and carriers of His presence such as the anointing oil, before the oil was passed through the hall and the expectation cards were prayed over.

The fire on the priest is ordained to burn daily, and we are the priests, so keeping it burning is our own responsibility.

Elijah had to lay the wood in order to provoke the fire of God to fall, even over water.

The first channel of impartation is God Himself, doing directly what no man can do.

The second channel: the spoken word itself carries impartation as it is being preached.

The third channel: carriers of God's presence, such as the anointing oil that was then passed through the hall.
